An IEP is the student’s Individualized Educational Plan.  This is the legal document that outlines the specific exceptionality of the student, the responsibility of the special education teacher, and the responsibility of the regular education teacher (if applicable).  It also outlines the accommodations and/or modifications to the educational setting which will enable the exceptional student to succeed.
